You Are Not a Failure

You may have failed, but you are not a failure.

How do I know? Because you’re still breathing. You can still try. As long as you haven’t given up, then you’re not a failure. You are a work in progress. “I am seeking. I am striving. I am in it with all my heart.” (Van Gogh said those words. That dude rocked.)

But if you give up? If you quit? If you say no mas?

Then you are a failure. And I’m going to understand. Maybe even give you the Kleenex box (or toss it past you) — but I’m going to call you a failure. Because you have failed by failing to try again.

So don’t give me — or ANYBODY in this life — the opportunity to call you that.

You are the only one who can make yourself a failure.

And, if you refuse to be a failure, then you are not a failure.

So pick yourself up, stop feeling sorry for yourself, and have another try. You’re still in this game.
